Questions, answered

Everything about our audio merger

How does the audio merger work?

Upload 2–5 audio files, drag to arrange them in the order you want, and click Merge. Lyssna combines them into a single seamless audio file and returns a download link within seconds. No re-encoding means no quality loss.

Is the audio merger free to use?

Yes. Every new account includes free starter credits for audio merging. No credit card required — sign in with Google and start merging immediately.

How many files can I merge at once?

You can merge between 2 and 5 files per operation. For larger projects, merge in batches — the output of one merge can be uploaded as the input to the next, so you can chain as many files as needed.

What audio formats are supported?

Lyssna supports MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC, and most standard audio formats. Files from different format types can be merged together in a single operation.

Will merging reduce audio quality?

No. We merge audio files without unnecessary transcoding whenever possible, preserving the original bitrate and sample rate of your source files. What goes in at 44.1 kHz / 320 kbps comes out the same.

Can I change the order of files before merging?

Yes. The uploader includes a drag-to-reorder interface so you can arrange files in exactly the sequence you want before triggering the merge. You can also remove and re-add files freely.

What is the file size limit per upload?

Each individual file can be up to 25 MB. For the total merge operation, the combined size limit is 100 MB. Paid plans raise these limits for larger production files and longer recordings.

Can I merge audio files of different formats (e.g., MP3 and WAV together)?

Yes. Lyssna handles mixed-format merges automatically — you can combine an MP3 intro, a WAV main recording, and an M4A outro in a single operation. The output format is selected based on the highest-quality source file in the batch.
